Job Description

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Data Manager to support the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Gulf Coast (SUPSHIPGC) in Pascagoula, MI. This position will provide direct support to the Quality Assurance Officer and Deputy Quality Assurance Officer at SUPSHIPGC. 

The Quality Assurance Data Manager's responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): 

  • Reports to the QA Officer as the Data Manager for process evaluations and metric analysis, communicating on a daily basis with SSGC and Shipbuilder for reporting, tracking and scheduling the QA assessment matrix.
  • Generate written reports, track charts and presentations for distribution to the Shipbuilder and SSGC Management team.
  • Maintain the calendar of the QA Officer and Deputy QA Officer, resolving scheduling conflicts as required. Arrange meetings (Pascagoula/Mobile/New Orleans), to include time, space, attendance and any special equipment required.
  • Prepare a variety of documents using word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Edit and reformat electronic drafts and transmit/receive documents and messages electronically, ensuring grammatical accuracy and conformance with established formats.
  • Screen incoming correspondence and determine proper action needed; such as establishing suspense dates and drafting replies.
  • Work closely with department managers and supervisors for timely resolution of administrative issues.
  • Order and track all office supplies and equipment required for the department.

Job Requirements

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • A NACI background check (Public Trust status) is required for this position.
  • An ideal candidate will possess an active Secret clearance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Experience:

  • Experience in or knowledge of the shipyard work environment.
  • General understanding of new construction shipbuilding building processes, knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance principles.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel and Power Point and Access.
  • Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
