Job Description

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated individual in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) for the LCAC/LCAC100 programs providing Information Assurance (IA) and Cyber Security expertise. This individual will assist with the maintenance and configruation management of craft IA and cyber systems. Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Providing technical IA and Cyber Security Analysis support to the Navy at NSWC PCD.
  • Working with the Navy to apply IA and Cyber Security laws, policies, and directives.
  • Operating and maintaining the IA and cyber systems on LCAC/LCAC 100 class craft.
  • Maintaining the configuration management of individual craft including unique combinations of software, hardware, and firmware for each.
  • Assisting with removal of classified electronic data off of the craft's data recorders.  Interface with Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) computers will be required.  
  • Developing and working within Configuration Management databases.  Some or all of these databases may be classified.
  • Generating and adhering to procedures related to utilizing the craft's IA and cyber systems.  This will include how to log on and operate within these systems.
  • Creating and implementing processes for installing new computer hardware and software into the craft's IA and cyber systems.  This will include mandatory scanning and preparation of components prior to installation.

 

Job Requirements

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires a full SECRET-SSBI clearance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-9 Years of experience desired working as an Information Assurance/Cyber Security Manager or Technician.
  • Working knowledge of DoD/DoN IA instructions and directives. 
  • Confident and articulate communicator and technical writer.
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Familiarity with Navy C4I/C4N systems, architectures and security requirements desired.
  • Candidates must meet the requirements of NAVY Credentialing Opportunities On Line (COOL) Cyber IT/CSWF Workforce Model, Systems Analysis (46) Specialty, which are as follows: 

Requirements Set 1 - 

  • Associates Degree from Accredited University in IA or INFOSEC field
  • CNSSI 4011-Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals/4012-Senior Systems Managers Certification
  • Microsoft Windows Certification
  • Red Hat Certification

Requirements Set 2

  • No degree necessary.
  • Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) ce, CompTIA Security+ ce, and Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
  • Microsoft Windows Certification
  • Red Hat Certification

Travel Requirement:

  • 0-10% travel anticipated
