Job Description

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking a Junior Analyst for NAVSEA SEA21/PMS443 Operations and Sustainment Program Support: 

  • Requires an Independent self-motivated and critical thinker that takes initiative and completes reports/taskers in a timely manner.
  • Product-oriented, proactive thinker capable of supporting projects by leveraging knowledge of U.S. Navy shipboard operations and equipment.
  • This position will develop problem resolution options based on thorough knowledge of the situation utilizing quantitative and qualitative theory and principles to develop viable options.
  • Assist with product development. Skills and abilities required include expert with Excel and Basic level of skill for PowerPoint and Microsoft Word

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in working groups, program development forums, analytical activities, training, education and other forums as required to accomplish contract requirements.
  • Produces accurate and useful information through shaping large amounts of spreadsheet data into charts and briefings.
  • Monitors standards for the quality of programs and documents. Assist in the resolution of project and program priorities. Assure quality control throughout all contract activities.
  • Demonstrates excellent writing and presentation skills to develop briefings, documents, papers, and conceptual and analytical reports for clients.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Develop program briefs, white papers, program plans, and recommendations to NAVSEA senior level staff.

Job Requirements

Security Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain SECRET level Clearance 

Experience Level: Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. The candidate shall be able to:
    • Use advanced functions (for example: Names, VLOOKUP, IF, IS)
    • Work with Pivot Tables.
    • Manage Macro commands: concepts, planning, operations, execution, modification, interruption.
    • Use personalized toolbars.
    • Perform some programming in VBA.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS applications other than Excel (ACCESS, WORD, OUTLOOK, POWERPOINT. MS PROJECT experience is a plus).
  • Forward-thinking, highly motivated candidate capable of being given an idea and maturing it into a product. Possess the ability to anticipate future requirements.
  • Critical thinking skills and action item coordination (both tracking and follow-up) abilities are required. The successful candidate will utilize independent thinking to build products in support of the vision of the client Project Manager / Directorate / Deputy Program Manager / Program Manager.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Naval Knowledge - Familiar with surface ships and basic technical knowledge of surface ship systems is a plus.
