Job Description

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated individual in support of the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 100 program providing technical subject matter expertise. This individual will assist with delivering Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Product Support Management (PSM), and LCAC technical expertise to the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), Expeditionary Systems Division (Code E30) Air Cushion Vehicle Branch.

  • In this position, the candidate will perform professional duties related to the work of the division. Duties include but are not limited to support in the following areas:
    • Engineering/Technical Support
    • Planning
    • Operations (Project)
    • Methods and Standards
    • Product
    • Logistics
    • Equipment and Faculties
    • Quality Assurance
    • Safety and Environmental
    • Administrative (as assigned)
  • In this position, the candidate will be responsible for managing collection of craft safety issues, design deficiencies, documentation errors, and incorrect procedures, then streamlining these into a feedback loop for revision of LCAC 100 documentation. This documentation may include but is not limited to:
    • Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs)
    • Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs)
    • Technical Manuals (TMs)
    • Safe Engineering and Operations Manuals (SEAOPS)
    • Troubleshooting of Craft Systems
    • Review/Analysis of Component Failures to Determine Root Cause
    • Review of New Systems and Design Changes for Impacts to Craft Documentation 

Job Requirements

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Must currently hold an Interim or Active SECRET clearance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 9+ years of LCAC experience is ideal, including but not limited to:
    • LCAC Deck Engineering
    • LCAC Engineering
    • LCAC Maintenance Control
    • LCAC 3M Division
    • Any additional skillsets combined with Maintenance background are such as Craftmaster or Instructor with Subject Matter Expertise in LCAC Operations.
  • Experience utilizing LCAC Tech Manuals, MIPs/MRCs, and vendor documentation to conduct maintenance
  • Time spent with Maintenance and Material Management (3M) using Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) for LCAC
  • Experience evaluating or working with SSC/LCAC 100 a plus
  • HM&E expertise for LCAC systems, able to assess capabilities and deficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
