Job Description

The Project Manager I will provide support to a US Navy organization relating to fleet support and analysis in engineering and logistics. Support includes overall planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives that have a significant impact to the government organization's needs. The Project Manager I will be responsible for assisting with overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans.

  • Provide documentation support functions including fleet introduction plans and preparing changes to technical documentation.
  • Attend planning meetings, prepare and distribute presentation material, prepare draft correspondence and reports.
  • Assist with development of program plans, specifications, engineering, analytic, and technical support to Department.
  • Record and maintain status of action items resulting from audits and safety inspections.
  • Develop presentation material such as slides, posters, brochures, and handouts to include illustrations, block diagrams, photographs, system concept drawings, functional organization charts, financial graphs, pie charts, technical illustrations, and text.
  • Compile and tabulate data to support program reviews, briefings, and planning meetings. Collect and compile data from Program Sponsors and provide meeting products, including a list of attendees, program slides, handouts, action items, and other meeting data.
  • Maintain and update project schedules based on project management and technical data in conjunction with resource tracking data to reflect critical path, analyze project risk, and mitigate project technical and schedule risk.

  • An active SECRET clearance is required for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's level degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
  • 5 years professional experience in program/project management for a US Navy organization.
