Job Description

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated individual in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) for the LCAC/LCAC100 programs providing logistics expertise. This individual will serve as the head of a contractor team executing logistics tasking - including the development, review, and revision of logistics products.

In this position the candidate will:

  • Interact one-on-one with the Navy customer to receive assigned logistics tasking and distribute work among the contractor team. Discuss with the customer each incoming task and obtain clarification on all aspects of assigned work.
  • Execute tasking and work as a member of the team to produce timely responses which meet customer deadlines.
  • Oversee task progress, conduct reviews in accordance with Quality Management processes, and track work to completion.
  • Engage in technical discussions with Navy managers, engineers, maintainers, logisticians, and other representatives in order to obtain data for executing logistics tasking.
  • Utilize in depth knowledge of DoD, Naval, and commercial logistical databases, including Federal Logistics Information System, Haystack, and others.
  • Guide the team in development of their logistics skillsets and strive for continuous refinement of delivered products and services.

 

Job Requirements

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • An Active DoD Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 10 plus years of relevant Logistics experience.
  • Excellent oral and electronic (email) communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency with technology and be capable of leading a geographically diverse team from a central location.
  • Detailed knowledge in the major logistics areas of Provisioning, Maintenance Planning, Technical Manuals, and Obsolescence.
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings and other Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP).
  • Experience generating and/or editing PDCNs/PCCNs/APLs and other data within the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS).
  • Experience conducting reviews of logistics products and/or technical drawings.
  • Experience conducting part/item research to obtain proper data related to vendor CAGE Code, Part Number, and National Stock Number.
  • Experience within the following areas as they relate to logistics: Navy Planned Maintenance System (PMS), Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRCs), Technical Feedback Reports (TFBRs), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analysis, Level of Repair Analyses (LORAs), Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Reports (TMDERs), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage (DMSMS), Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), Technical Manual Deficiency Reports (TMDRs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and ILS Assessments/Impacts.
  • Experience within the following logistics systems: Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS), Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Technical Documentation Management Information System (TDMIS), Planned Maintenance System Management Information System (PMSMIS).
  • Detailed knowledge of maritime systems including such systems as gas turbine engines, and advanced C4N/C4I systems is beneficial.
  • LCAC platform experience and/or knowledge of Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV) technology a plus.

  • Reliability Centered Maintenance Level I
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance Level II
